Evie finished her lessons a couple days early, so we are able to take advantage of a lovely 3 week Christmas break from school. At the beginning of the school year I still wasn't sure what curriculum I was going to use for phonics, and in September a friend recommended Logic of English. It has been perfect. She finished the first book, which was mostly stuff she had already learned with new material mixed in, and we will be starting the next book in January. I have loved helping her learn to read and have been so impressed with how quickly she picks things up, but I am so glad we get to take a bit of a break for the holidays!
