Lavender Farm

Jordan and I started attending Journey Christian Fellowship last November. A couple ladies were talking about starting a Mommy group, and I jumped right in at the opportunity to get involved with some other moms with kids my age. It started with just the three of us, but the group has recently added a couple more moms. Today four of us (and our children) took advantage of the beautiful weather and went to the lavender farm!

Before we even got our tickets the girls found some bins of sand and lavender and went to town playing.

There is a petting zoo and my two big girls really liked feeding the goats and sheep blades of grass.

Emiliana FREAKED over the giant bunnies they had. She crawled right into their little bunny house and screeched with delight as she gave them hugs and kisses. She threw a major tantrum when I finally pulled her out of there.

She was quickly distracted by the chicken coop. This picture of her staring down this strange poultry cracks me up.

There was a little shack where they were debudding lavender. It smelled amazing, and the kids enjoyed being able to do it themselves.

In typical Evie fashion, she went to the little rock maze, sat down, and played in the gravel.

And of course we had to get some fresh snips of lavender from the field.

It certainly wore my girls out. We made a quick stop at the Farmer's Market where we received some wonderful fresh produce (Thanks, Mia!) then headed home for lunch and a nap. It was a lot of fun, and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for something to do with their kids. 

If nothing else, all that lavender has to make them nap better, right?
