It's been a pretty miserable week here. It started over the weekend when Catherine managed to catch a cold. Which she then gave to everyone else. So sweet of her to share. On Monday we took her to her 9 month appointment (a month late... she's 10 months old now) and while she is super smart and perfect in every way (duh) she also has an ear infection. She showed no signs of an ear infection, so the pediatrician and I were pretty surprised.
Monday afternoon the mother of the 10 month old boy I watch told me that he is ALSO sick. We decide that he'll stay home the next day (Tuesday). When we got home Evie started refusing to use the potty, and says it hurts when she goes. *sigh* She spiked a fever of 102 that night.
Yesterday morning Jordan woke up pretty sick and ends up coming home early from work. I take Evie to her doctor appointment, and the pediatrician agrees that with her history it's probably another UTI. We gave Evie a shot of antibiotics, and I had to run her sample to the lab so they can figure out if that's the problem for sure. We have to go back today for the results, and if she DOES have a UTI, she gets another shot.
Last night Evie was up most of the night and we couldn't get her fever to break. She was just miserable. At least Catherine seems to be better, she's faring far better than the rest of us, that's for sure!
