Well, Evangeline is seven weeks old now and I really can't believe how quickly she is growing up! She is now officially in 0-3 month clothing, and can only barely squeeze into the newborn outfits that were once too big for her. She is wearing size one diapers now, though we have started using cloth (yay!) so she's only in disposables for nighttime and going out. She is now smiling pretty regularly and much more alert than she used to be. She is awake more, too, which is nice. She's still sleeping well at night, and she typically sleeps in the bed with us (bad mommy) but it just makes things SO MUCH EASIER. I think her favorite thing right now is her swing. She loves that thing. And she loves watching the fish on the mobile. So cute! She can hold her head up for about 45 seconds, but she hates tummy time so she rarely gets time to practice. She's so snuggly and hates being put down, so she's typically being held by either her daddy or me.
The big news happened a week ago today: her umbilical cord FINALLY FELL OFF. What kind of freak umbilical cord holds on for over six weeks?? Anyway, it's gone, and she has been given many a bath since then. She loves the water, by the way :)
Anyway, that's my quick update on my precious little girl. It's hard to believe that she hasn't always been her. She is so very loved.
