And we found other stuff to get into. We visited the Tampa Busch Gardens, which was super cool. The girls got to meet Elmo, which they were super excited about. Evie rode her first roller coaster with me (it was a small kid coaster, but was actually pretty intense) that she did NOT care for. Jordan asked her what she thought of it and she goes, "That was not fun." But there were other rides they were able to enjoy.
There were lots of wild animals there, too, and the girls liked seeing real, live, Dumbos. They also liked climbing on the hippo statues.
Emiliana spent most of the day passed out in the stroller, because she was too little to ride anything.
She didn't seem to mind.
We also spent a day at the Mote Aquarium, which was pretty darn cool! Lots of hands on stuff, and we saw manatees and sea turtles, which I thought were neat.
Catherine LOVES aquariums, so this was probably her favorite activity.
On Friday night (or I guess it was Saturday morning) we left the beach house to drive to Atlanta to make a quick visit with Jordan's brother's family. We went to Legoland and ate at delicious restaurants and had a great time with my brother- and sister-in-law and their two boys. We stayed at a hotel in the city and Emiliana FINALLY decided to start crawling. That baby had been going backwards for a month, and I had been saying "She'll crawl any day now" for weeks. I guess the bed posts fascinated her because that's what she went after. Silly baby. We left for home at about 1:00 Sunday afternoon and got home about 10:30 that night. It was a great trip. We had so much fun with my parents and sister, and the girls really seemed to be having a great time, too. They did such a good job travelling, too, which is what our biggest fear was. It all went pretty smoothly!
Now we just have to wait for next vacation. :)
